    Check out this pic (and the pics before and after it in the stream) to see how it works. It allows you to freely orient the Apollo in just about any direction. I made a DIY version that worked decently with a shoe-mount flash, but it doesn't work with my studio strobe (the pole I used is too thin to clamp in the umbrella holder of the UZ1600). That's why I'm giving the original a try.

    You may be interested in this.


    If you want a grid for the Apollo this one (the 28") fits nicely with addition of some velcro around flange.

    That's pretty cool. I bookmarked it. In addition to my 4x6' softbox, I'm thinking about picking up an octo w/ grid for the studio strobe sometime in the not-so-distant future.

    Softbox arrived today intact. Thanks!


    I can't wait to try it out. The mylar on the inside is way more reflective than the one I already had. I bet I can get a 1/3 stop more out of this one.
