You can see that 1) there is quite a lot of noise 2) the tracking isn't perfect, the stars are a little elongated even after only 2 minutes and 3) the seeing wasn't great, so everything is a little blurry.

Last night I took an autoguided 12 minute exposure which came out a little better. I also tried a 40 minute autoguided exposure, but I accidentally unplugged my computer at the start of the exposure and the thing died in the middle. Very frustrating. I'll probably try again tomorrow.

    Hi Jon,

    Thanks. Awaiting for auto-guided version.

As far as the noise concerned, I will be not surprised to hear in 5-10 years this is not just a noise, but relict radiation or something like that.

    Hi cannon-ball,

Your dog looks smarter than some humans.

(Did you shoot with Canon lens or Tokina?)

Very nice, Mark. I've seen (and taken) a lot of baby pictures, but those are great. Cute baby, too

I assume those were taken with your 5DII. What focal length, aperture, lens, etc?

    You've got it.

    5DII, 24-70 f/2.8, 1/200, ISO 100

    1st photo was @ 70mm & f/7.1 and 2nd photo was @ 40mm andf/6.3

(2)430EX with Honl flags on white muslin (1/2 power @ 24mm)
    (1) 580EX through 43'' umbrella camera left (1/2 power @ 50mm)

Triggered with CyberCyncs and metered with the Cyber Commander.

This is the same setup I used to take the pictures of my own son from earlier in this thread. I used a 24'' Lastolite EZBox (highand camera right)for that though.

Here's a natural light reflected shot of my wife from this past weekend:
