Three nights ago I took a picture of the swan nebula (also called the "omega nebula" or the "2 nebula" or M17) from my light-polluted back yard. I shot raw + jpeg. I was updating my operating system, so temporarily did not have acess to dpp. So my first attempt was generated from the jpeg:

I then got DPP reinstalled and made another picture by processing the raw:

Even though the second seems to show more, my wife says she likes the one from jpeg better, and I'm not sure I disagree.
