    I would say, don't go for anything too pricey yet...


    I would pop for the 50mm 1.8 initially... the "nifty fifty"


    This will give you experience of what you can do with a wide aperture and thatexperience, gained for relatively little cost compared to the the two lenses you arelookingat should help inform your choice...

    I agree here with this lens. Low cost investment that I think takes some pretty decent photos. I find it's hit or miss, either it's good or it's bad. The AF is not so great, I find I use the MF a lot more with this lens than the other L lenses I use.
