Re: G20 in Toronto
Hi Mike!
Very good pictures! Is it your new 300 mm F4 at work?
Alex.

Re: G20 in Toronto
Yeah Jan, I'm pretty sure that the bikes are only used for formal ceremonial type things like funerals, VIP escorts and other convoy related stuff, but I could be wrong...
And that's a good idea. I didn't think of that. I will for sure keep updating the title as I post new pictures. Thanks for the feedback!
Unfortunately Alex, I haven't gotten myself the 300mm yet. I did however get a 7D! And I absolutely love it! The lens is a rented 70-200 f/2.8 IS that I rented for the G20. I don't want to send it back [

More to come today!

Re: G20 in Toronto
Mike,
Did you use tri- or monopod?

Re: G20 in Toronto
Alex,
All were shot handheld. I was on my bike shuffling from spot to spot and just put a foot down to balance myself and snapped away. I'm taking my tripod with me today. Hoping to catch some motorcade video.

Re: G20 in Toronto
nice shots mike (i checked out your flikr page), guess you work in a good spot in T.O. there
watch out for strange aircraft flying around, i hear the US army has some choppers parked at pearson for obama...and this morning i seen a CP-140 patrol plane fly over burlington, hamilton, then head to niagara, has to be here for the G20, those aircraft aren't based in trenton, just shearwater nova scotia and comox B.C. i'm wondering if they have any CF-18's parked at pearson as well.............looking forward to more pics
