    Strobists: This is kind of cool.



    This is pretty cool to get your light on axis with modifiers. Unlike other umbrella brackets the shaft mount doesn't swivel with the flash mount. It couldn't be more perfect for Softlighters. I'd guess it would be great for the Paul C. Buff PLM Umbrella system.


    The rig in the pic is the Chimera bracket on top of another generic flash bracket.

    Consider the horizontal bracket shown in http://www.robgalbraith.com/bins/mul...50-10614-10628 - it keeps the flash back further, so you can use more of the umbrella.
    We're a Canon/Profoto family: five cameras, sixteen lenses, fifteen Profoto lights, too many modifiers.

    By the looks of it, you could use two umbrella swivels (like the LP634) and a double-ended stud if you turn the top swivel upside down. Hmmm.....
