Do screwlock PC cords work better?

I'm pretty much fed up with my non-screwlocking mini-to-PC cords that came with my Cybersyncs. I basically have to hold the PC end in place to but the flashes to fire. Drives me insane and makes it nearly impossible to shoot alone if need-be.


I am looking at flashzebra.com at screwlock PC cords, but at $15 a pop, do they work any better? That's quite an investment once I pick up a few plus back-ups.


Also, if anybody knows where to get a short mini-to-PC cord for cheaper than $15, let me know!

To keep the pc cord to keep in on flashes you can bungee or tie off part of the cord. That way it keeps the end slack. You can try looking around strobist.com for some ideas
