Sorry got this out here a little late. Been busy.
Let's see the pictures!
Canon 450D Gripped, Canon 24-105 f/4L, Canon 70-200 f/2.8L IS USM II, Sigma 10-20 EX f/4-5.6, Canon S95

Canon 7D + Canon 85mm f/1.8 (Gotta love the AI Servo and Frame burst of the 7D)
Canon 7D + Tamron 70-300mm f/4.5-5.6 (marco mode) + Canon Speedlight 430EX
Canon 7D + Tamron 70-300mm f/4.5-5.6 (marco mode) + Canon Speedlight 430EX
Silvereye from a local reserve.
Garret, very nice shots! I know 85mm 1.8 can make really great quality pictures, but the Tamron 70-300mm? very very impressive.

But seriously the lens is junk, the AF is super slow and creeps even in daylight, wide-open is almost neverusable, CA is visible even stopped down to f/11. I ran around manual focusing, chasing bugs and butterflies & I was lucky to get those two that nicely. But since I don't own a real macro it's what I have to work with.
Pretty much the Tammy is only good for macro work.
