I took it with myCanon EOS Rebel XSi and with myCanon 70-200mm f/2.8 L IS II Lens.

Shot settings:


ISO: 200.


Aperture at F/2.8.


Shutter speed:1/30 sec, handheld.


Focal Length: 190mm

So what do you think? Is the sharpness,saturation,color balance, and stuff all good?


Is there anything you think I could have done better on?

Very nice shot!


I like the low angle perspective. I think the subject pops off the screen in a good way, with nice separation from the background. There is a nice creamy bokeh. I think the subject looks sharp, especially for 1/30sec handheld. I think the white balance, green grass and purple flower are spot on. I like the catch light in the eye, and I like that the rabbit is eating something.

If I was being picky I'd have to say I'd like to see a little more of the rabbit in focus. So maybe shot at f4 or something.

yes, i'd like to see a little bit more DoF, and perhaps a little more contrast and brightness and sharpen it just a bit more.

Did the rabbit move just as you were taking the picture? Because the back end looks like he was just starting a hopping motion, while the movement hadn't traveled to the front yet. I think the shutter speed (1/30 sec) may be the culprit, not the depth of field. I could be wrong, however...

1/30 at F/ 2.8did you takethis shot at dusk, orafter the sunset, or before sunrise? If you had to loose DOF to get the fastest shutter speed then so be it sometimes you have to sacrifice to get the best you can get. A little more DOF would have helped but was it possible? maybe not?


I didn't see the live bunny, but for this time of year where I am at the color looks good. This one seems to have good coloring, some times of year they are lighter brown.


I like it like it is.

Thanks everybody! Now that y'all said something about it, I too would have liked to see more of the Rabbit in focus. Instead of more DOF(I would be afraid the background would be to distracting if I would have put more DOF.?) I think what I should have done(to get the back of the Rabbit more infocus) was move to the right a little bit more. Becuase the reason the back of the rabbit was a bit out-of-focus was becuase the rabbit's back was closer to me the it's head, And sence I focused on it's eye it's back got a bit out-of -focus. I think.


I took the shot after the sunset.
