Trying to get "sparkle" in eyes?

Hi, I'm really just starting to take pictures...learning as I go. I'm wondering if there's something I'm missing in lights or angle? or anything? I wanna get that one eye sparkle going on with him.

We're trapped indoors, I took these in the kitchen with the lights behind me, and a window above and to the left of him. Any advice or changes I could make here would be appreciated! I'd like to get some good portraits of him in before he's too big Thanks!

An on-camera flash, with a reduced power setting, will give that "catch light" you're looking for.

Your can get an excellent catch light with a ring light.
