It's worth mentioning that for non-moving objects, the IS and short focal length make the 24-105 actually *more* hand-holdable than the 85 f/1.2. With the 24-105 and a 5DII, you can get pictures in *amazingly* low light. Night photography with no tripod is no problem at all.
