Fun thread.
No one ever talks about EFS lenses....and these don't have to be EFS, but aimed at those of us with cropped bodies (great optics assumed):
- 15-85 f/4.0 and 17-55 f/2.8--weather sealed
- To mimic the 70-200 range that is so popular on FF, how about a EFS 50-150 mm/40-120mm f/2.8.
And, of course,
- 100-400L II with 4 stop IS and weather sealed.
- Updates to the non-L primes such as the 28 mm, 35 mm, 50 mm
I agree with Kayaker72.
The two biggest things I
7D | 1D Classic | EF 70-200 f/2.8 L IS | EF 100-400 f/4.5-5.6 L IS | EF-S 17-55 f/2.8 IS

I know Canon typically doesn't make zoom less than f/2.8, and that cost, weight, and size can be factors in larger aperture zooms, but since it's an EF-S lens, it's already smaller and lighter and cheaper. Making it f/2 would just bring the size, weight and cost back up to non EF-S levels... or am I missing something (aside from typical people not wanting to pay for premium EF-S lenses).
