I have been looking at the images you have been posting. I can see that you are using your 5D, 35mm and Vivtar flash on-camera. The 35mm has you too close for on camera flash. Try these with your 135mm. Try taping a piece of white poster board to your flash head to give you more fill while bouncing. Set up a white sheet on the other side of your subject to give some fill in.


Do not get discouraged. Keep playing with it and trying lots of ideas. The next thing will be to try to get the flash off camera, possibly in an umbrella.
