Thanks Steve, it was overcast when I took this and this was one of the few pics that came out without motion blur. I really didn't even think about the tail spray I was just trying to catch some action pics of the pup, when I got home there were some that were real interesting because he was wagging his tail like crazy. Some had full circles, some trails that looked like figure 8's. I am going to try it again on a day with a little more light.

Decided togo fora driveto Cook's Bay. I didn't realize that after leaving the parking spot that I had actually parked on a frozen lake. Snowkiting, snowmobiling, ice hockey and ice fishing just to name a few on the activity menu. Knowing my luck, I would be the only that would have the ice give way under me, I guess the *gods* were looking the other way!

Elmo, the third pic, the guy 20 feet in the air. Are they supposed to be hang gliding like that? That is an interesting shot.

You can notfind a lot of open water around here (everything is iced over), but the small amount of open water really concentrates the water fowl. Here are a couple of swans.

Wow, great shots this week! Hopefully the rainproblems in Australia stop any time soon though, my best wishes to them.

I have never submitted before in what you shot this week post...mainly because I'm always late with sorting and quick-editing [A] Months behind here...

Tuesday the 4th we had a partial solar eclipse here in the Netherlands. Unfortunately it was too cloudy and there was only one very small area of free view. This area was a lot higher, so the sun was already a lot brighter than it would have been when closer to the horizon. Nonetheless it was very beautiful to watch. Better than the photo's []

And last saturday I shot a Ice figureskating "show". It was actually a club-championship for the younger members. I haven't sorted them yet, but quickly snatched 2, so no post-processing of any kind. The sun wasn't up yet when it started and it graduately became brighter, but it was still way dark for me to get good settings, so I'm afraid my keeper-rate is low on this one.

This girl was one of the last and was shot with the "best" settings that I could get that day:
