Actually, I typically upload at the highest resolution possible. If you have a free account, they put a cap on how big the picture can be (or maybe you can upload a full resolution photo, but can't download it at anything bigger than the "large" resolution...it's been so long since I've had a free account I can't remember).


If you upload your images at the highest resolution possible, it's like having an online backup storage for your photos. Works quite well for that. I don't upload everything I shoot, but I do upload the things I like best (and, therefore, the ones I most want to have a backup of). If you're into selling prints, then you probably don't want to make full-resolution images available for download (that is, to anyone but yourself).
