Other models of the 1740n say they have a NIVADA graphics card.

I do not see any reason why yours would not run the video. But maybe you have a different card.

Have you made sure you do not have any malware, adware or other bugs running around in your computer?

Are there any programs that are running in the back ground?

Do you have the latest drivers for your cards?

Do you have the latest versions of players that you are trying to view the video on?

One of the models I saw listed a 250gb hard drive, is your hard drive full? If it is 70-80% used up that could be the problem, move some of your stuff off the computer.

Lastly did you go to apple.com and pick a new mac out yet?

[:P] I didn't think that was aimed at you....

I want one but at some point you have to say enough is enough. The wifes macbook pro, I TV, I phone, I pad, I touch, Mac Pro....if apple made a toilet I think we would have it.

    Enjoy your new note book.

Last year I got a 500gb external for my pictures, but my internal HD is small. I just checked for upgrades for my drivers, but no luck. I also check task manager to see if anything is running that i didn

I think it would do the trick for a while longer. Once you get to shoot a whole lot of 7D RAW files, you're probably wanting a pc-upgrade sooner than later []

If you like to have half of your budget for a pc in the shape of an Apple sticker on the case of your new pc, be my guest. If you are smart, build your own pc []
