Canon 100L IS Macro---WOW

Bob, you make me feel bad because I just got the 180mm macro recently, but I don't think my copy is that sharp and impressive., maybe i should have got the 100mmL macro instead... anyway, let's see your pictures.

JJ if you are using AF on the 180mm then nah, its not that good and its hit and miss. But the 180mm using live view for macro work manual focus is extermley sharp. The 180mm IQ for straight up macro work on a tripod is superior to the 100mm.

thanks Rick, I know you have both. I didn't do a lot of research before I bought it. mainly is because I already have the 100mm non L and I want the better bokeh the 180mm can do, but my 180mm doesn't seem like a lot better than my 100mm in term of sharpness and color, but of course the bokeh is better, but still, I am kind of disappointed. maybe I need do more work to know this lens better. but what I really hoped was a new 200mm 4.0L IS macro anyways[]
