That makes good sense financially.


Since two of my genuine BP-511A will only hold for 500 shots, I will give the 3rd party batteries a try. I now probably need AT LEAST 4 batteries when going for a short trip with my 50D. Just for comparison, I put 8 AA batteries in my 1V-HS and it will be good for 2 years!! I know to compare 50D to a film SLR is pointless but just to show the fact that one is good to go ona singlecharge for 2 years and the other one will put me into worrying about running out of power all the time...[:S]


I know to get to that fast it has to take extra power, but still, the power consumption of the 50D IMO is certainly a minus.
