    I just sold a broken 50mm compact macro for $30 b/c the repair was going to cost more than a good used copy without a CPS membership. The dude that bought it had a membership and got a sweet deal. Canon quoted him $100-$200 and he was going to buy one anyway. He either got a really awesome deal or an average deal.     An IS system can drag the autofocus, but have no idea what that would cost on a 300 mm lens. I
