My first time shooting with the 135L and the 1.4x II just to see what the results would be like ...

Harsh afternoon sun on his back, shade on his face didn't help much but ...eh, it's ok.

This was taken in the Valley of Fire. It is truly amazing how dark it gets at night in the middle of the desert. You can see the glow from a distant campfire on the rocks.

Hi Denise, That 135mm looks pretty good with the 1.4X extender!

Nice shots everyone. Tom, I really like the sky background with the icicle.

Here are a couple from this last weekend:

Here's a couple that I took in Killington, Vermont last weekend.

This one is of the chair lift in front of me.

Here's one of some random skier that I also took from the chairlift. I kind of liked this overhead perspective. (I see a shadow!)

We had a bit of a cool changepass through here on the weekend, dropped to a teeth chattering 27 degrees Celsius, which for my dogs meant that it was time to snuggle on a bed out in the sun. A lazy Sunday, no action shots.I was even so lazy,I didn't get up and get my flash, so a few shadows, but ohh well. So there you have Bullet and Bella the Italian greyhounds and Bindi the Whippet and no room for Leroy Brown the Italian Greyhound on steroids, or just too many treats.

The whippet is the yougest and has to carry a toy with her whereever she goes.

Finally a bit of room for Leroy to sqeeze in.

Chopped his leg off at the joint, I know that is a no-no but his nails need doing anyway.

    Thanks for viewing,

Thank you... I appreciate your kind words.

I just got the 100L macro lens, and it is quickly turning into one of my favorites. I really like the bokeh you get, and large aperture is great.

I almost did not get the lens, but my wife talked me into it.

Thanks Denise, the bottom little brown boy, Leroy Brown, is super timid, he won't let anyone pick him up, yet he loves a pat more than anyone else on the planet. We sort of rescued him from a breeder who thought he was going to be the next best thing and it didn't work out so he was left virtually unsocialised for 6 months. Now he is a little darlin' that just wants to be patted all the time, but he won't let me pick him up. He is like a little baby deer.
