Re: Post your best current shots

Here is oneI took a few weeks ago, but just did a B&W conversion on it. The ferry trip from Brisbane to Stradbroke Island takes about 50 minutes and in spite of the sand mining gouging out the heart of the island, there is a tropical paradise just across the bay from Brisbane.

    Thanks for viewing,

    Steve

Nice photos once again, Ade and I love your little assistant there! Maybe I can train mine to "hold(?)" the light for me!

Nobody can shine a light on you Denise.

Nice shots Ade, my whippet is a lot more aloof than the Iggies, but they are so graceful when they move. Much like myself, back in the day, cough, cough, splutter.

Beautiful flower, Steve. I wish we had those around here but I guess then they wouldn't flower year 'round.

IMO, these guys are just the sweetest birds ...

Yes they do look sweet Denise. Rich light golden brown colours, I can't decide whether I'd like a shirt that colour or a cookie.

That 70-200 of yours is nice and sharp.

Ade, Thanks for the nice comments! Great flower shots and with a very creamy bokeh. I wonder how the first one would look rotated 90 degrees and Vertical. Cute little key-grip you

Here are some recent shots that I really like:

I don't like how the bottom leaf is cutoff, but it was breezy and the branches kept moving. Out of the ones that were in focus, I liked this one the best!

    Canon 50D

    1/40 sec

    f/3.2

    ISO 100

    Canon EF-S 17-55mm f/2.8 IS USM @ 55mm

Dinner at a place in Las Vegas called Yagyu Yakiniku. Good Japanese BBQ that you cook on your table, but portions are small (or maybe that's just the glutton in me talking!).
