All the areas I go in are generally safe but I guess there is no place that is 100%. I think I will look into getting some type of spray to carry. Thanks for the link on the fox spray, Bob. Are all types of spray legal to carry anywhere?


Also, I guess I have to remember to never let my guard down and get so involved in the photography that I lose sight of my surroundings in general!


One thing I did not see suggested here is self-defense training. I see classes advertised ever so often, some even geared specifically for women. I wonder if those help or give a person unrealistic (not sure if that is the word I
