Cushion as far as extra shutter speed or DoF difference with having twice as much light albeit artificial. The siginal to noise ratio on the 40d was better or just as good on iso set at 200 rather than 100. I was also thinking about the highlight tone thingy and didn

I use HLP all the time, much better to have a little more noise (not much at 200) than blown highlights. If you want as little noise as possible, even if it
