Denise - I used a 7D with a 300 f/2.8 IS and 1.4 TC for most of those pics. The loon coming out of the water was taken with my 1D MK1 and a 70-200 f/2.8 IS. And I like the Heron but try to get a lower angle next time, it makes a huge difference. The motion is well documented and the exposure is spot on.

I have not done a lot of bird photography, so this must be my best so far. A little sparrow from when I was on Mallorca a week ago.

This youngster (Red tail hawk) keeps coming back to roost in a big pine behind my house allowing me to get some really close shots.
