Thanks, William! I think maybe it would have turned out better with not quite such a slow shutter speed and a slighly wider apeture. But that would have meant setting my ND Fader filter to an even darker setting. It was only my second time using this filter and I'm still getting used to it.

@ Steve - I wish these were from my garden! My daughter & I took our annual train ride to the Chicago Botanic Garden on Friday! Beautiful place but it sure was hot! Lugging my 40 pound camera bag on my back w/ tripod was challenging (I pack just about everything ...just in case)! It's about a 40 minute walk from the station to the gardens, then we spent 6 hrs. walking around the gardens and another 40 minute walk (uphill) back to the station! Very tiringbut still a fun day! She shot some pretty good photos w/ my Canon p&s which I hope to post soon!

Went to a Medieval festival on the weekend, very colourful and very cool customers.

This majestic creature got to carry a wedgetail eagle on his arm.

    And so did this one.

The hoods are used to stop the birds laughing at the clothes their handlers wear.

A slightly different one from the weekend. A lot of people were dressed up for the event, but this guy just wore his street clothes.

The man in black, Johnny Cash or "daywalker"??

A trained Peregrine Falcon that was let go by the handler and just decided not to come back. These birds were raised from the egg in captivity, but this one answered the call of the wild on the day. The handler has the birds hood in his mouth.

    Hope it came back.

I don't know if you've seen the Australian movie 'The Castle' but over here we would say "That's going straight to the pool room". You've gotta be happy with a shot like this. I love the color and how the sunlight illuminates the feathers from behind.

Thanks, William! I was lucky to get the shot. In a blink he was there ...blink again and he was gone! I like to come home after work and go in my backyard and just snap a few shots to unwind and usually that time of day the sun recks havoc on some of my shots but this one worked out well.

@ John - Very nice shot of a beautiful building!

@Brant- great job of the falls, different perspectives, I like the night ones the best, you are becoming a "falls specialist" sounds a bit like a stuntman.

@John- everything nice and straight and tilted to where it should be, but the contrast and detail in that shot almost verges on HDR, but the lens is just that good. And the bloke holding it has to know what he is doing as well, nice image.
