i got 2 CDs with my 7D, got multiple languages on either but english is on both. depending on if i can find both in the mess of stuff i got back from europe i might be able to help out.

Bob, you could try starting here. The steps are simple and risk-free if you're using Mac OS X. If you're using Windows and not comfortable mucking about in the Registry, you could also try starting with the full installl version of DPP 1.0.0, which is available from Canon Japan(select 1D and enter 012345), then run the current updater.
