    Those ridiculous lengths that we go to...



    Somoething occurred to me this morning, while i was lying on a towel on the grass. With my 7D supported by a gorillapod, ballhead, tissue box and wheatsack, with more than 15cm of extension tubes and a teleconverter between camera and lens. Focussing and framing by moving the tissuebox, and squeezing wheat into different parts of the wheatsack one at a time. Taking photos of a tiny insect that happened to be perched on my wall until i harassed him enough to fall off, then harassing him more by shoving a lens 3cm from his face and light bulb just as close.


    "What the hell am I doing? Is the photo going to be worth all this trouble? Don't I have anything better to do?"


    No idea. The photos turned out all right, look on the latest page of the Macro shots thread. But it sure was fun taking them.


    Please Please Please someone else tell me that i'm not the only nutter that does weird things like this (maybe it wouldn't look so stupid if i could afford an MPE65? Or more?)

    Check the prices on camera gear again...you have to be a little nuts to take up this hobby. ;-)
