From canon.com.au:
"5. A Professional Photographer is someone who generates the majority of their income from photography and operates through a registered business. Canon may need to confirm this with two referees nominated by the applicant."

Your not missing out on much, the book they give you is kind of interesting...and like I said earlier the strap is ok....
But I have never used any of the other services, at $100 a year for a gold membershipmaybe it is like buying insurance and I will use it some day off in the future. ........
Almost. I have 146 points, but I don't need to include lost or lent items to reach my total.Originally Posted by Daniel Browning

Checking my "want's" list, I am not sure that I could even catch you if I had my kit exactly the way I want it right now......

65 points, now I guess if you consider, a website, a business license and 5 hrs per week shooting, 10 hours per week processing and 25 hours per week on TDP (my advisor and editorial staff)---yes I have a full time job making images.

Canon converted my items to points automatically. I have a GOLD membership.
The book is interesting and although the strap is nice, I am a dedicated BlackRapid user. I like the two annual body cleanings. I change lenses frequently and I am not very comfortable cleaning my sensors. The discount with quick pro turn around is like an insurance policy to me. Although I have not needed any service repairs up till now, it is nice to know I will only be without an item for a week to ten days or get a loaner if/when I do need a repair.
How many points do you get for a 580exII?
Words get in the way of what I meant to say.
