Wow Denise, I really like that first one. Not sure what it is.. guess I'm not used to seeing texture like that in water. I think it's neat.
Around here, we call the green stuff duckweed. In summer and early fall, it can cover the water in marshes and ponds. Ducks swim through it, eat it...geese, too, the one below was looking up from a meal.

Nice shots Denise, I like the pair of Northern Shovelers, good work. The little Downy Woodpeckers are some of my most frequent back yard visitors. I think I could probably hand feed some of them.....sometimes they don't fly away from a feeder until I reach up to refill it!
Nice Goose portrait Neuro.....really sharp and good exposure of blacks and whites, not always easy to pull off.
