I may be late on this but I just discovered that B&H has both the 48 and 52mm Canon drop-in Circular Polarizers in stock.

I pointed out the 52mm in the thread on the B&S board. Someone followed up that the 52mm was the new white, matched to the MkII supertele lenses, if that matters.
