Nice one. Looks like a painting rather than a photo.

I love the variety of shots in this thread!

Dr. C - Nice painterly effect & great composition!
Steve - As usual, beautiful flower shots!

We had 65 mph winds the other day so I went down to Lake Michigan to get a few shots! The winds were so strong over the open area, I came real close to being knocked into some deep water when I was standing on the rocks to get a few shots ...very scary!!

    A few backyard shots ...

I really messed up on this one, which could have been my best bird shot yet I did the best I could in post to make it somewhat less blurred! At least now, the blurry out of focus shot looks somewhat intentional!

[QUOTE=Dr Croubie;61245]Did she make it up and/or down the stairs without stacking it?

I've been playing with HDR made from some bracketed shots I took ages ago, I've been trying not to make them look too fake. This one I really like, Hooglandsekerk in Leiden...

That cardinal shot is superb Denise, the red and blue contrast is vivid and you can feel the determination in the bird to launch itself. It is very artistic, I don't know about the fence. It adds some interest and sort ties the bird to an object and adds to the struggle to get airbourne. I held paper up to crop it out and the red bird on the blue background really is the only story of the image. A thin branch bottom right may have kept the context. But this is the most I have written about any image on this site, so I guess I really like it. Oh and lovely tones in the lighthouse captures.

I call the shot the dismount. The young girl with the firm calves, couldn't tackle the stairs on her pogo stick and this was the moment before her landing.

Thank you so much, Steve for taking the time to critique the cardinal shot! I originally cropped the fence out but then figured it would look better if it showed what he was launching off of ...maybe I will try a branch to see how it looks! Thanks for the suggestion!

BTW - Great shots of the girl w/ the pogo stick! I haven't seen one of these in use in a long time ...your post-processing really gives it a nice nostalgic look!

Whooow, Impressive Photo....and capture. Not so sure about the young girl posture. I hope she didn't hurt herself.

Denise - I quite like that third lighthouse photo. The moody sky, the side lighting, and of course the ocean spray all make for a very compelling image. Nicely done!

Great shots of Kenosha Harbor Denise. Angry sea for sure.
Not so bad on this day.

I am struggling getting picture size under control in this new environment. If I direct link it's too small if I copy/past it's too big. I'm sure I'll catch on, please have patience with me.
