Jayson, I really like the second one of the Robin---I love it when the you can capture the subject and the natural surroundings, yet still keep the subject the primary focus of the shot. You did that well, here. I also appreciate the effort required for the first shot---I'm guessing you were on your belly in the grass to get that shot

@thekingb - nice shots! Looks like you had a little better luck this time out there! I was there a few weeks ago but it was still pretty empty ...a few cranes, pelicans, ducks and maybe a couple gbh's. I'm hoping to go again in about a month, it should be pretty active by then! I hear the snowy owl is still hanging around out there!
Thanks! It's such a special place. I've seen so many types of duck also -- red head, blue winged teal, pied billed grebe, coot, etc. They're just outside the range of my 70-300, so the shots aren't great. I'm trying for some early morning shots tomorrow. 500mm would be really nice here!
