We get this every year. Big rush of raccoons just as summer starts and then they fade away when it gets really hot. We have a bunch of outdoor cats and the only way to let them eat is to distract the raccoons with other stuff. Luckily they love the peanut pickouts, which are relatively cheap. So while the raccoons are feasting on peanuts, we feed the kitties. It all works out.

That is a lot of distruction in one place.
Raccoons chewed a hole in my back garrage and made a mess in there. They decided to have a good ol time busting all my wifes canning jars. They are neat animals, but they are no longer welcome here anymore.

Below are few from a kayak trip this morning. I love the way you get so many colorful reflections off the water when shooting from the low angle of a kayak.

I am not very good at HDR but I thought this one shot would be a good test for the new DPP HDR that I took at the Chicago Botanic Garden ...

^^^Nicely done, Denise. I'd say you're pretty good with HDR.

Getting a slow start kayaking this morning, I found myself still on the road when the sun rose. It was a beautiful sunrise so I decided to M_six the sunrise by finding a nice rural setting to get a few shots off. So I pulled over at this farm house to get a few shots off before the great light was gone. I hope you enjoy it.
