    I'm waiting for the unified version of magic lantern to be released for the 5D2. There's a lot of cool features there, particularly the time lapse options and the motion sensing stuff. Would be great for electrical storms!

    Speaking of MagicLantern, some brave soul has put it on their 5Diii and it worked. Haven't seen information as to which version they were using yet.

    I have read the same. ML sits so "high" on the process that it seems unlikely that it would "brick" the camera - though it may have happened.

    As mentioned elsewhere I am waiting till the end of summer before pulling the trigger on teh 5dIII.
