    I had one literally in the middle of my front lawn a few years back and even mowed around it. I can't remember exactly how long they were there -- a week or so? I also think a hawk found them...

    If it is in fact a rabbit nest (looks kind of small to me) then the babies are weaned after about three weeks and can leave the nest at any point after that, but could stick around for longer.

    Run across this at the edge of a pond. She was well comouflaged... I walked past it once and almost stepped on it before I noticed it. She was laying eggs, so I snapped a quick picture and moved on so I would not disturb her.

    Not sure if farm animals count as 'nature', but this sheep is on a tiny island off the west coast of Scotland. The hill beyond is on a neighbouring island.
