    Do you have translucent ants where you live? It is kind of hard to "have thought" of something if you do not even know they exist (which I for sure didn't).

    Very cool, I wonder if the eat out of two different primary color food stacks they will change colors.
    Edit; read the article again and they do change colors.

    Most ants will become translucent to some degree or another as their abdomen expands. Also use a little vanilla ice cream and you can get zebra ants with the white against dark.
