    Ah, the lot of you are from the States, aren't you? (even Steve is from the 51st state, Brisvegas or so).

    Come down to South Australia, we're probably the only ones who actually pronounce english properly...
    An awful lot of electrons were terribly inconvenienced in the making of this post.

    It is a US English thing, I guess. I am a transplanted southerner, but I hear it all the time in Pennsylvania, and from the news presenters on CNN, etc.. But if you listen, EVERYONE does it.

    In the US we do not speak English. Remember, we fought a war well over 200 years ago to break away from English rule. We speak American. and it is quite different.

    Come across to Mount Isa, where it's a requirement by law to say 'eh' at the end of every sentence. In fact, 'eh' essentially replaces the '?' at the end of a sentence. e.g. "Dat camra's a flash one eh!"
