    Thanks everyone. Merry Christmas.

JRW, you're not THAT far away...
    • Grab a couple friends and a couple shovels.
    • Rent a truck, and drive until you reach lots of snow.
    • Fill it with snow (this is where the friends are handy).
    • Drive home, and unload the truck in the yard.
    • Sleep as the sun rises.
    • After you sleep through Christmas, return the truck and pick up your car.

Not a current shot (taken in May) but it is current in processing! Not too much snow here either so I thought I would create some!

I really like this one. The subject really seems to stand out from the background. This was taken with 50mm Planar wide open at f/1.4 with the 60D.

Some pics from earlier today. Bella (and her new stuffed Husky) tried dog sledding, and we met a very cute deaf Aussie puppy.

Yes that last one is excellent --- great capture!

The weather is a lot milder now... only -10 C so it's great for photography. Here's a shot of Castle Mountain, taken with the 24 mm TS-E (tilted down), and the Lee 10-stop solid ND.

Went out with the my 50 and my 28-135 to try to get some night shots. Took this one with the 50 and I really like how it turned out, this is a crop of the image I got:

Walked further up the street and took a bunch of shots with the 28-135 trying to get sort of the same framing, but didn't get anything I was happy with. Not a very good place further up the street to compose the shot without lots of headlights directly in front of me, so it was hard. Also after using the 10-22 and 50 1.8 and 100 macro, I'm having a hard time being satisfied with what the 28-135 is giving me in regards to image quality.

    I like it Eric!
Jonathan, it's not even remotely near that temperature over here. With +12 Celcius we had the warmest Christmas ever I think. I'll trade with you anyday, beautiful.
David, your shots are always great to watch. A lot of energy and happyness, love it!

Just like last year they were burning candles at the Canadian War Cemetery over here(Christmaseve), but due to the hard winds pretty much all the candles were blown out. Grabbed my bike and tried the local architecture with my new fish-eye:

    Great shots everyone.
Dave, the first and the last in your set are superb shots, love the expressions in both.
