On the last day of my short vacation in the mountains I decided to pay a little visit to the Mont Blanc. Nothing great but the view was nice enough for me to post I think.

Beautiful portrait Denise, fine looking young man.
And Pierre, I think we should only let you post pictures of coffee mugs and bread for a while these mountain scenes are just making me jealous. The hills are alive with the sound of music.........................................lala lalala...............lalalala.................

Nice tune Steve....your pitch was perfect. I am impressed .
Beauty of a shot John.
Wow, lots of great shots here! Very nice everyone.
Pierre...more of this and I think I will rearrange my holidays towards Switzerland
Don't worry, I had plenty of time to take pictures of bread and coffee mugs. During the whole week, we had the choice between heavy snow and thick fog. Most of the time I wasn't able to see the other side of the valley. I can tell you that mountain is boring in these conditions. On the other hand, one day of good weather was enough to make up for it.
It's funny that you are the one who says this. In fact, there's been a tradition of dutch tourists coming to this particular valley for many years now. A guy coming from the Netherlands fell in love with the place and opened an hotel at least 40 years ago. It created a special relationship with dutch tourists. I always thought they were very brave to do such a long travel with their cars several times a year, as many of them do.
John, your picture is just perfect.

@ Neuro, beautiful shot John, columns, reflected columns and tones all perfect. Really like the yellows against the inky blue sky.

Tounis - It looks like you had a productive time in the mountains, and I have enjoyed getting a glimps of the beautiful areas of Switzerland.
John - That is a great shot. I really like the refections and the starburst in the archway.
