Lighting Placement in a small space ?? help? by 03-08-10 ??

This was the lighting challenge in the gym location. Massive amounts of highly reflective vertical surface. Floor and ceiling were fibrous matte black material absorbing all light. I know a genius could make this an advantage. I could not think of a way. I don't know the f stop loss of the mirror and glass reflections. It would be like playing pool with photons and the 8 ball in the corner pocket is actually the surface of the subject being photographed. No matter what I did, nothing was working. I tried many different light and camera settings.
