I'd guess you get more than 10 months summer, or atleast less than two months of winter. Perhaps 2 weeks winter, and 3 weeks each of fall and spring. Maybe it's colder up where you are than where my dad is.Originally Posted by clemmb

My dad is near McAllen, TX, fairly south, near the Mexican border. One winter we visited him around Late Jan-Early Feb. We took a trip out to South Padre Island. It was 25C/77F, and we came home sunburned. I'm sure all the native Texans were in their warmest winter gear, but I consider that a warm summer day, despite it being in the middle of winter. In the mornings we could go out to the porch swing with a blanket, as it was like 14C/57F... I'd say that's a warm spring/fall day.
It sounds nice until you remember how hot the summer days are.
