    They do work well together *if* you have good light. That shot above was taken on a cloudy day, although the cardinal had sun on him. Still, at f8 and a decent SS, it required ISO 2500. If it's a very dull day with overcast I'll usually skip the TC.

    im in florida for 10 days so i hope to have a ton of pics to share pretty soon.
    i got these guys hiding from the sun right across the street from the condo .no idea what they are but they let me get pretty close.

    The first one looks like a group of Wood Storks. The second is a Great Egret.
