A few more from my trip to Maine...

    All shot with a 5DIII and 24-105 f/4

    Crystal Falls @24 mm, 6 sec, f/8, ISO 100 6 Stop B+W ND filter

    Small-8448 by kayaker72, on Flickr

Step Falls. Not my normal PP. But everyone once in a while it is fun to push the sliders a bit far. Plus, here, there was a lot of color in the rock....

Screw Auger Falls. Flat light, but I still like it. Somewhat of a famous waterfall as it graced the cover of the first edition of "New England Waterfalls" guidebook. @55 mm, 3.2 sec, f/16, ISO 200, 6 Stop B+W ND filter

I was invited to trap Alligator Snapping Turtles for a long-term population monitoring project last week. Not easy to get a good image of a monster snapping turtle. For this one, my friend held him over the boat and I just snapped one shot of his head before he pulled himself into the water.

Most of the others I was left trying to crop gear out of the background:

Kayaker, nice photos. That area is a favorite of ours to hike during the fall. If you haven't yet, check it out during peak foliage season.

Lone Canoe on Lake Superior, taken with a humble lens I bought for $43. I processed it with a split tone technique and added the heavy vignette for effect.

I took Sean's advice and went out to the local county fair tonight. It gave me a chance to feed the local mosquito population. If you decide to also follow Sean's advice, bring bug spray!!

We visited some three week old puppies yesterday. There is a good chance one of them will be ours in a few weeks.
