Thanks Tim. The local orchid greenhouse have me some shooting privledges last winter when I was cutting my teeth in Photography and it was a great way to learn through trial. Hoping to get back in there this year as well.

I found the following flowers in my backyard a while ago

    EF-S 60mm 1/125s f/4

    EF-S 60mm1/200 f/5

    EF-S 60mm 1/100 f/3.5

The 60mm EF-S has been really good, although it doesn't have the reach for further away objects

I really like Don and Flish's flower photos - the colours are great, although Flish' first set seems a little underexposed

    Don,

The Minho Valentine is one of the most beautifully composed flower shots I've ever seen. Congratulations, truly beautiful.

    Thank you Stefan.

I have a Flora Gallery set up at www.pbase.com/dbrasco if you're interested.

I basically learned photography basics through shooting flowers. While I'm not expert, you can see you can see whatever progress I've made through the shots on that site.
