Bit the bullet and bought 600EX-RT #3 and #4 to complement my ST E3 RT
Then I watched "Speedlites: The Power and Possibilities" Video by B&H
and was glad I did.
I am thinking of selling my strobes and batteries now.
I can't really make a case for any other lighting in the near future, I know I may lack some power but the portability is awesome.
Congrats. I have 2x 600 ex rts. I'll get a third at some point.
Refurbs were available for $350 a few hours ago, but sold out fast.

I'm now up to 4 600EX-RTs and added the ST-E3-RT.
There is not much I can't do now.
I am getting creative on ways to set these up off camera with different mounts.
Have some gorilla mounts and some clamps and a few portable light stands.
Looking for additional suggestions.
Must admit that I use them almost exclusively in group settings in manual mode.
So easy to set with the ST-E3-RT.

Remember the GROUPS setting only works on the 5DMarKIII and newer.

Sounds like modifiers are next. Find that the folding 24x24 softboxes with brackets are inexpensive, compact and work reasonably well. As a bonus the disks on the bracket that wedge into the flaps are the same size as the rotating inner disks for most of my other modifiers with speedrings. Nice to have a variety to play with. Easily adapted to my beauty dishes as well and 7" reflectors which I have grids for as well. Very versatile and easily moved around. For most work they have enough power to get the job done. When they don't I find that doubling up usually does the trick.
