    Animals of Tanzania

    Greetings, programs!

I want to share some photos I took while on safari in Tanzania last month. Below is a link to my Wordpress portfolio. I used my new 7D Mark II and the Sigma 150-600mm Sport lens for all the photos. I really loved working with this combination. Even from a safari jeep, 600mm was needed to get those tight shots of animals that I love. In a few of the busier spots on the Serengeti, I counted 3 other people using the same Sigma lens. The only limitation I discovered working in the 600mm range was the heat distortion. As soon as the sun came out, image quality became softer when shooting over the reflective ground. You may notice some grain in the photos--that's the result of my Lightroom processing. I often a filters for personal preference. Enjoy!

Great set. Envious of the trip! That is on my list but we'll see when it happens.

Thanks! If you do get a chance to go, I'd recommend Thomson Safari. They were great to travel with.
