Yep, that is what I'm going to do. I will keep my eyes peeled to the second-hand depts. and snag an authentic Canon one or just buy a new one for only one camera and leave it at that for awhile. Best to be safe than sorry! I would most definitely be upset if I messed up one of my camera's trying to cut corners!!
