2017 Image of the Week #35

Welcome to TDP forum's "Image of the Week" competition. Each week photographers may submit their images to compete for the title of "Image of the Week." Weekly winners will then compete on a monthly, quarterly and finally in an annual poll for the title of "TDP Image of the Year."

• There will be only one weekly winner.
• This entry period for Week 35 will be from Monday August 21st through/including Sunday August 27th.
• Please supply a title for your image.
• This is an open competition for landscape, portrait, architectural, macro and any other appropriate photographic style.
• Images should have been either recently taken or processed.
• Enter as many times as you would like.

This is another image from my night time trips, to my favorite spot taking pictures, now that is finally getting really dark here in finland.

The swing in front, painted with my headlamp, is typical finnish swing, that people in older days used to swing. It usually had 4 men swinging with this, since then you were able to get speed enought to go fully around with it. The place is called Nautelankoski museum. Nice green area that has some nice paths to walk around the Aura river and specially in this spot the nautela rapids. As you may see from the nice orange light pollution, weather last night was quite foggy.

Went to test couple new places to take milky way pictures. When combining this 6 vertical image panorama, realized that there was suprise auroras on the picture. Things like this really keep me going thru the nights on the nature =)

Interesting entries this week, as usual difficult to judge. I really like jamsus Morning Enchant. Great light and composition dead on.
The Totality shot is awesome. (I didn't even attempt eclipse shots.)
I do a lot of cityscapes so the Detroit shots also caught my eye. Very cool.

All that being said, for this weeks winner I am going with Milky Way Surprise. Fantastic shot. I Really like everything about this image. Great work everyone! Congrats Karsaa!
