Thread: Advice/tips for shooting hockey

    Not bad at all, especially considering your less than ideal location. My sports shooting is all dog-based (agility, and dock diving), so I'm not sure how the camera would behave in some of these situations. Did the shots through the netting need manual focus? Did it only track through the netting if you started outside the netting? I'm thinking the tracking on the 7D2, where it takes into account color and IR, might know to keep tracking the living IR emitting subject, but only if that's what it locked onto in the first place.

    Thanks. I did not use manual focus for any of my shots. I locked on to the players through the net and prayed for the best. I either got lucky or the 7D2 had no issue dealing with the net. I'm going to say the camera had no issue with the net. Thanks for looking.
