    Finally got a chance to try theSamyang 35 as a portrait lens on my 7D, halloween dress-up party.


    ISO1600, f/1.4, 1/50s, and natural light (floodlight on the shed wall behind-right):

    Thank you all for you comments, they are very useful to improve.Richard I agree that the skin in this photo is very smooth, may be too much, while the light is passing through the arms naturally.


    Steve, thank you for the comment, I like to have the composition with the sight on the close side when the mood is thinking or sad. In this way I feel she is looking in her mind and not in the frame.

    Thanks for the explanation Gian, I understand your thinking and it really works well.


    Love the tones in the first image above.


    The low key B&W above has beautiful lighting, a very intimate image, feels like the viewer is invited to share her thoughts, or wish they were. One of your best and I think my favaourite.
